Above link is coordinates systems file link of dropbox.
ArcGIS 10.1 is the commercial suite from GIS software giant ESRI. ArcGIS has several GCS (Geographic Coordinate Systems) and Projected Coordinate Systems addressing all local and global CRS (Coordinate Reference System). [Note: Can anyone tell exact numbers of Coordinate Systems within ArcGIS 10.1].
Nepal has adopted the GCS Everest 1830 and MUTM as its projected coordinate system. Please hack through GCS! Everest 1830! UTM! and MUTM!!!.
While following MUTM, Our country’s east-west geographic extent range 80deg East – 88deg East and whole country fits within 3 MUTM zone viz 81deg CM, 84deg CM, 87deg CM.
So there are three different projection systems for three different zones. In ArcGIS all parameters which define the particular projection system are stored in prj file with file extension .prj. (eg Everest_1830.prj).
I have following prj file for Geographic and Projected Coordinate System of Our Country.
Now the question is where do I put those files into ArcGIS. I have all those files inside FOLDER named CoordinateSystems. Initially your Spatial Reference Properties window appears in ArcGIS as seen below:
Copy your CoordinateSystems folder TO this path:
Then CoordinateSystems FOLDER appear as below.
Please inspire me to explain those unknown terms or Elaborate it.
